Fluent Cart just arraived, and they are giving a tempting life offer, so on this blog, and video I’ll show you how to works Fluent Cart and for what it’s thinking.
Note: This post wasn’t written by an AI. If there are spelling mistakes, I’m sorry. I’m human.
What it’s Fluent Cart?
Well, Fluent Cart it’s a E-commerce solution, and a good alternative to Woocommerce, SureCart or Shopify.
It’s a new product from Fluent Family, and they incorporate this super tool to their Ecosystem.
What can I do with Fluent Cart?
Well, with Fluent Cart, mainly, in simple words, you can sell things.
What kind of things?
You can sell:
- Physical Products
- Digital Products
- Subscriptions
- Licenses (This it’s good if you sell Software)
All these features, in one product.
Comparing with Woocommerce
If you’re an user of Woocommerce, you know that Woocommerce it’s an amazing Open Source E-commerce with a super good track record, and a big community.
You can customize Woocommerce how you want, and it’s integrated with the most of plugins of WordPress Ecosystem and externals softwares.
So, it’s a good choice.
The problem with Woocommerce
Woocommerce has two notorious problems:
- It’s a Big player, a big size player. A fat player… a Bloat player.
This mean that this plugin, the size and structure of the plugin, do you’re websites commonly slow.
Have some reasons for what’s happen that, and one of them it’s because they do a lot of things, and each thing that you do, commonly do a query to the database.
Also, Woocommerce, as the old software, has technological debt, and legacy code. Beucase don’t forgot, WordPress and Wooocommerce and in general, the ecosystem of WordPress thanks god has backguard compatibility.
This means that they will not update and break all the work and features that they have to re-build the software and start from stracth.
This it’s logic, and it’s a good new for you haha.
It is not a criticism, it’s a fact.
Actually, I’ve a lot of Woocommerce sites running, for customer and for me, and I know how to work very well, and how to optimize.
I do for the most of Woocommerce sites, and it’s harder to do it and find what it’s the exact problem.
I’m preparing a Masterclass of Woocommerce WPO
I had some years optimizing Woocmmerce sites, and it’s not a easy task, but it’s possible.
If you want know when this Masterclass will launch, I’ll let you know vía email. Suscribe to the wailist.
When we are 50 I’ll open the prelaunch.
To do basics things, you need a more externals plugins… and they are not cheaper. Well, are expensive.
- You can’t do invoices in Woocommerce without addon
- You can’t sell subscription well. You need a official addon that it’s super expensive.
- You can’t sell membership well.
- You can’t remove Checkout Fields. You need an addon or code snippets. (this it’s not a big deal)
- You can’t do Buy now directly. (I can do because I know)
But has limitation, and for extend, this turn more expensive…
For me still being a great option, for me better than shopify, and less expensive.
Also, Woocomerce it’s a great candidate if you’re from for example Latin America, like me, and you need integrate with local payments for example Mercado Pago.
But this with Fluent Cart we will possible, it’s in his roadmap. I wish that they get this done.
- You can build you’re product description with any builder. (WPContent)
Surecart
The other big player in E-commerce. It’s not so big like Woocommerce, but it’s a good competitor.
They have super nice features, and allow you start sell without pay anything at first, only a 1,9%.
Also, the have his own Affiliate program in Sure Cart integrated direclty.
You can: Product You Can Sell:
- Physical Products
- Digital Products
- Subscriptions
- Services
- Donations
For example, Fluent Cart doesn’t have integrated a system affiliate directly in the plugin.
You have a extra plugin that you need, called Fluent Affiliate.
But if you have Fluent Cart, for free, you can integrate the free version of Fluent Affiliate, the free version has integration direclty with Fluent Cart.
At first I don’t know why them are separates products, but know yes, because with Fluent Affiliates you can integrate to Woocmmerce, EDD, and more platforms not related with Fluent Cart.
And you can integrate Fluent Cart with Fluent Affiliate for Free.
Comparison Table

Speed:
One thing that was not a sorprise for me, it’s the speed and optimization that have Fluent Cart in the backend and fronted.
Yes, don’t sorprise to me, because I’m user from Fluent CRM, Fluent Forms and fluent community, and these tools already are fast, and when you switch from one tab to another one, the load faster.
Well, super faster compared with each load form Woocommerce.
This I guess that it’s because has new code, are new framework in his develpoment.
Open Source and self-hosted
A key differnce with Sure Cart, and a similarity with Woocomerce, it’s that it’s open source and self hosted.
This in terms of control, code extended, and privacy it’s super nice to have it, and more talking about WordPress Sites.
This doesn’t happen on Sure Cart Backend. You have this extra-layer hosted by them that you will not have full-control.
Ecosystem
Fluent famility, with this great step, they are know by WP Managament Ninja, with this plugin, has a super serious ecosystem.
And It is the leg that was missing.
Because they already have, Fluent CRM , Fluent Forms , Fluent Community , Fluent Support , Fluent Booking and anothers tools that you can see in the site of them, that convert you’re WordPress Site on a sales system or business managament, completly integrated.
And if you work with one of them, you will go to the famility because will be integrated and maintenance from the same team. A big team that will give support to their most of the tool in the future.
So, this it’s Fluent Cart.
